Lulus Jetstream is available to a limited amount of live coverings/fresh chilled semen to approved mares that meet our strict breeding criteria annually. Pictures of the mares must be submitted for approval of breeding prior to the covering being purchased. Lulus Appaloosa Stud retains the rights to not accept breeding of inferior mares, or mares with the hereditary defects.

Lulus Jetstream has proven to produce superior foals, when a stallion can improve on the mare that he is bred to, then one knows that they have the cherry on the top! “Jet” has done this now on several occasions and it’s time we put him to the test to get him into the show ring and hear what the judges say about this handsome lad. He is built like a small version of a sport horse, his one fault is the height he lacks, but he sure does make up for it in what he is producing as he is genetically a “big” horse ,with his sire standing well over 16hh prior to his gelding at 3 years old and his dam standing at a firm 15.3hh at Jet’s birth. “Jet” is sired by Starlight Triumphant, a very sporty 16hh black leopard, who we bred but never foaled down at our stud, thus the reason for him not having our stud name. Triumphant’s movement was one of his many attributes that he offered along with exceptional conformation.

‘Jet” is out of the 15.3hh black fewspot mare, Starlight Twilight Time, one of the prettiest mares we have owned to date, with the most beautiful arab head, long legs and movement to knock anyone socks off.

To date, Lulus Jetstream has 6 foals on the ground with several mares confirmed in foal in 2018 and 2019. We are excited to see the quality of foals that he produces in this second crop. We have not been disappointed yet and doubt this will happen in the future too.

LP/LP – this means that Lulus Jetstream has been tested for the leopard complex gene. He will produced Appaloosa characteristics on all foals, these characteristics are in no order, white sclera, striped hooves, mottled skin and a coat pattern. Remember, homozygous doesn’t mean that there will and must be an apparent coat pattern, but any one of the 4 characteristics will be present at birth or within in the first few weeks of birth –a foal being born solid will in all probability roan and develop some sort of coat pattern later in life. Please do not confuse the Appaloosa LP gene – this has happened time and again where people believe that since the horse is homozygous, it must produce a coat pattern – a coat pattern is only one of the characteristics and need not be present.

Covering Fee: R 5 000 – discount available on multiple mares.
